Acceptable Use Policy
Rules and restrictions governing your use of the DevsHub platform and services.

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the rules and restrictions that govern your use of the DevsHub.ai platform, including the CodeSync CLI, DevsHub Cloud dashboard, sandbox execution services, APIs, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by DevsHub Technologies W.L.L. ("DevsHub," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service to engage in any of the following activities:
2.1 Illegal & Harmful Activities
- Violating any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including those of the State of Qatar.
- Developing, distributing, hosting, or operating malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, trojans, rootkits, keyloggers, botnets, or any other malicious software.
- Engaging in phishing, social engineering, fraud, identity theft, or any deceptive practices.
- Accessing, tampering with, or using systems, networks, or data without authorization (hacking, penetration testing without explicit written permission from the target).
- Distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits or endangers minors.
- Facilitating human trafficking, illegal arms trading, or any activity related to terrorism or violent extremism.
2.2 Abuse of Infrastructure
- Cryptocurrency mining, blockchain consensus operations (proof-of-work, proof-of-stake), or any activity designed primarily to consume compute resources for financial gain.
- Running denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or any activity intended to disrupt, degrade, or overwhelm networks, servers, or services.
- Operating open proxies, open mail relays, or open recursive DNS resolvers.
- Exceeding rate limits, engaging in excessive API polling, or any activity that unreasonably consumes shared infrastructure resources.
- Circumventing sandbox resource limits (CPU, memory, disk, network) through nested virtualization, container escape, or other techniques.
2.3 Intellectual Property & Content Violations
- Using the Service to generate, host, or distribute content that infringes the intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret) of any third party.
- Using the Service to bypass digital rights management (DRM) protections or to facilitate software piracy.
- Scraping, crawling, or data-mining third-party websites or services in violation of their terms of service.
2.4 Harassment & Harmful Content
- Generating, hosting, or distributing content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, or hateful toward individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.
- Using the Service to stalk, dox, or otherwise invade the privacy of individuals.
- Generating or distributing non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) or deepfake content intended to harm, defame, or deceive.
2.5 Security & Sandbox Integrity
- Attempting to break out of, bypass, or disable the sandbox isolation mechanisms that contain agent execution environments.
- Attempting to access other users' sandbox environments, data, credentials, or session information.
- Exploiting or attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities in the Service (if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to [email protected]).
- Using the Service to scan, probe, or test the security of DevsHub's infrastructure or any third-party infrastructure without authorization.
2.6 Spam & Unsolicited Communications
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), SMS messages, or other unsolicited communications through or facilitated by the Service.
- Using the Service to operate email spam campaigns, comment spam systems, or social media automation for spam purposes.
3. AI-Specific Restrictions
In addition to the general prohibitions above, the following restrictions apply specifically to the AI-powered features of the Service:
- Deceptive AI: You may not use the Service to create AI systems that impersonate humans without disclosure, or that are designed to deceive, manipulate, or defraud individuals.
- Harmful Autonomous Systems: You may not use the Service to develop or operate autonomous systems that could cause physical harm to individuals or property without appropriate safety measures and human oversight.
- Model Misuse: You may not use the Service to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the underlying AI models used by the Service.
- Bias Exploitation: You may not deliberately use the Service to generate discriminatory, biased, or unfair outcomes in automated decision-making systems affecting individuals' legal rights, employment, housing, credit, or access to essential services.
4. User Responsibilities
As a user of the Service, you are responsible for:
- Code Review: Reviewing, testing, and validating all AI-generated code before deploying it to production environments or integrating it into critical systems.
- Compliance: Ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to your jurisdiction and industry.
- Credential Security: Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, API keys, and any cloud provider credentials you configure within the Service.
- Third-Party Dependencies: Ensuring that any third-party libraries, packages, or dependencies used in your code are properly licensed and do not introduce security vulnerabilities.
- Data Protection: Complying with applicable data protection laws (including Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law and, where applicable, GDPR) when processing personal data through the Service.
5. Monitoring & Enforcement
We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to monitor usage of the Service to detect violations of this AUP. Monitoring may include automated scanning of sandbox execution patterns, resource utilization, and network traffic for indicators of abuse.
We do not monitor, review, or log the contents of your source code, files, or terminal output within sandbox sessions, except as necessary to detect AUP violations that manifest through resource abuse patterns or network behavior.
Enforcement actions may include, at our sole discretion:
- Issuing a warning to the account holder.
- Temporary suspension of Service access.
- Permanent termination of the account.
- Removal of prohibited content or output.
- Reporting illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or if you believe your own use may have inadvertently violated this policy, please report it immediately to:

We will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action. We may request additional information from you to assist in the investigation.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and/or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
